Overcoming Heart Challenges in Leadership: New Tools for Facing the Inner Critic and Imposter Syndrome
Friday March 29, 3-5pm
Wexner 330
Harvard Kennedy School
In-Person Event
All too often, we miss leadership opportunities because of one key heart challenge: self-doubt. Even though we know great frameworks and have a strong analysis of a situation, imposter syndrome, thoughts of not-enough-ness, and shame can hold us back.
Leadership Development Artist Rosi Greenberg (HKS'18) has worked with thousands of leaders across the world and developed a new framework for exploring and shifting these inner negative narratives.
In this transformational, experiential workshop Rosi delves into the origins of self criticism and guides you to embrace more powerful self-narratives. Rosi draws on Adaptive Leadership, Public Narrative, and her own lived experience to enable you to distinguish yourself from your inner critic and begin to create a new relationship with it -- that of an inner ally. Far from a blame-the-individual approach, this class takes a systemic approach and shows how shifting our internal mental structures can change organizational culture and the world around us.
You'll leave with a new understanding of your inner critic, a more positive self-narrative, and some tools for leading teams in motivational ways.
Join us Friday March 29 from 3-5pm in Wexner 330.
